There is nothing more boring than pounding the treadmill over and over at the gym. The same routines can get so tedious that it’s no wonder that people give up on their weight loss and fitness regimes! When summer is approaching, and the weather is warming up, salads and ice water end up on the menu and almost everyone steps up their motivation to get the figure that they want. The thing is, if your routines aren’t making you sing inside, you’re going to give up. All of a sudden, it’s January again and you haven’t even begun on your workouts.
The only way to make sure that you have good results is to feel motivated and inspired to carry on with your routines and the only way to make that happen is to make it fun. Exercise is often a chore for many, but if you make it appealing, you can ensure that you stick to it and watch the fat burn right off. So, how can you make it fun?
Bowling. No one thinks that bowling is a workout, because what you’re doing is walking ten feet, throwing a ball and sitting down. However, if you think about the fact that you work your core while you’re rolling a bowling ball and that you’re on your feet between bowls should you choose to be, you’re working that figure of yours!
Rock Climbing. Climbing can be as extreme or as light as you like. You can choose to use the indoor walls in the gym or buy the best rock climbing harness to tackle the outside walls and cliff faces. The thing with climbing is that it works every muscle in your body and makes sure that you are burning. It’s a tense and exhilarating way to work out and if you’re looking for something new, you need to give it a go.
Dog Walking. You may not have your own dog, but volunteer to take a friend’s dog for an exercise in the park. You’ll be surprised how much fun that you find it to run around chucking a ball in the park and laughing at the antics of a crazy pooch. It’s fun, it’s uplifting and the harder you throw, the better you work out your arms.
Beach Volleyball. Volleyball is a competitive sport as it is but on the beach it’s twice as hard. Being in sand makes the terrain difficult to work with and you aren’t able to move as quickly. The sand challenges you in the way that a gym court wouldn’t, and it’s a huge cardio workout that you can do while having fun!
Working out doesn’t have to be a chore. Exercise is supposed to be fun and keep you interested and it’s up to you to choose workouts that will burn fat and capture your attention. Don’t waste your time pounding pavements when it doesn’t interest you; find your fun and watch that weight melt off.
