Ep 88 Meditate Your Weight w/ Tiffany Cruikshank

Tiffany Cruikshank
This episode begins with a

Listener question

from Sachin. She asks:
Why do children like to eat junk food?
Glenn answers with the following three reasons:
  1. It is fun
    • colors
    • shapes
  2. It tastes good (i.e., sweet)
  3. Short sighted
    • no consequences
 The most important part is,

What to do about it:

These four tips will help you help your kids eat minimal amounts of sugar, and be satisfied with it.
  1. Don’t keep junk food in the house
    • Nobody needs it. No body
    • No easy access
  2. Have them make their own
    • home made cookies, cakes, etc.
    • Help them make delicious, nutritious meals
  3. Teach them why junk food is bad for them
  4. Lead by example
    • Eat healthy yourself
    • Show them that you enjoy eating healthy foods
    • keep healthy foods in the house, eat healthy at restaurants – most of the time.
